Returns & Exchanges Policy

We want every order from Disorderly Adventure to arrive beautifully and meet expectations. Because our products are often fragrance-based and seasonal, return eligibility depends on the condition of the item and the nature of the issue.

Return Eligibility

We accept returns on eligible items under the following conditions:

  • Unused, unopened items may be returned within 14 days of delivery
  • Opened but unburned candles may be returned within 7 days of delivery
  • All returns must be approved by us first before being sent back
  • Items must be returned in their original condition

Discounted items and holiday items are final sale and are not eligible for return.

How to Start a Return

To request a return, please email disorderlyadventure@gmail.com with:

  • your order number
  • the reason for the return
  • photos of the item

Once your request is reviewed and approved, we’ll provide next steps. Please do not send items back without contacting us first, as unapproved returns may not be accepted.

Standard Returns

For approved standard returns:

  • returns that meet the eligibility requirements will be issued as store credit
  • original shipping charges are non-refundable
  • customers are responsible for return shipping costs

Store credit is issued once the returned item has been received and inspected.

Opened but Unburned Candles

If a candle has been opened but not burned, it may still be eligible for return within 7 days of delivery.

This also applies to scent dissatisfaction, as long as the candle remains unburned and otherwise meets return requirements.

Used Candles

Candles that have been burned or used are generally not eligible for return.

If you’ve burned a candle and believe there is an issue beyond scent preference, you’re welcome to reach out and we’ll review the situation case by case. This typically will not result in a full refund.

Damaged Items

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at disorderlyadventure@gmail.com.

To help us review the issue, please include:

  • your order number
  • photos of the damaged item
  • photos of the packaging

If photographic evidence is provided and the damage claim is approved, we will send a replacement item. Damaged items are not automatically eligible for refund, although we will do our best to come to the best solution for your situation.

Replacement shipping costs for approved damaged-item claims will be covered by Disorderly Adventure.

Wrong Items

If you received the wrong item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos.

These situations are handled case by case, though the resolution may include store credit depending on the circumstances.

If a replacement is approved, Disorderly Adventure will cover the related shipping cost.

Cosmetic Variations and Heat-Related Changes

Minor cosmetic variations can occur and do not necessarily affect the performance of the product.

During warm-weather transit, slight wax texture changes, surface imperfections, or a less-than-perfect top layer may occur. These are generally considered cosmetic and are not automatically eligible for replacement, refund, or store credit.

If your item arrives with significant damage or you are concerned about its condition, please contact us and include photos so we can review it.

Final Sale Items

The following are final sale and not eligible for return:

  • discounted items
  • holiday items
  • any item that has been burned or used, unless approved by us due to damage or another qualifying issue

Return Timing and Inspection

Approved returns will be processed once the item has been received and inspected.

Any applicable store credit will be based on the condition of the item when it is received back by us.
